smaller than I thought

This was much smaller than I thought it would be, however that is not a bad thing. It defiantly makes it more portable and convenient to have because I live in an apartment. I have always loved foam rollers but this is much easier to cart around and has the added vibration feature.

Great tool for your at home medicine chest!

This seemed like a great thing to help with loosening muscles and keep limber. But it ended up being a great tool in the arsenal for relieving mid-back pain! Also good for the neck. Haven't been to the chiropractor because of this! Really helps relieve all parts of the muscle structures and helps realign as you loosen up! I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Great For Neck and Shoulder Pain

I had this knot under my right shoulder blade that was causing some neck pain. Instead of leaning my back against a doorframe or on a tennis ball, I decided to give this a shot and purchase the Wave Duo. This thing arrived with enough battery to start rolling my back on it immediately, which helped. It is the perfect size to roll right on the inside of my shoulder blades, and by the time you place it under your neck, you want to go to sleep.

I would recommend this for neck and shoulder pain.

As Effective -- but Far Less Painful -- Than a Lacross Ball

This thing releases knots and tight fascia, just like a lacrosse ball.

But the vibration makes the release like 10% as painful as the lacrosse ball. This is the real game changer. I can drop it over a knot and lie fully relaxed because the pain is so much better with vibration than it is with a static ball. Additionally, the peanut shape allows you a little more control over how and where you're rolling it, with stability under the knot so you don't injure yourself.

It works the same, from what I can tell, as a lacrosse ball -- but it's way faster and hurts far less.

Light vibration

I liked the concept but not sure I would recommend if you need it for back pain as the vibration is pretty light. It felt a little awkward to use as a foam roller on the back but for legs it's pretty good. Good gift idea for your spouse.
